Cultural Access Washington

Link Up: Seattle Symphony is bringing 10,000 students to Benaroya Hall this spring to be part of a culminating performance where they will sing and play orchestral repertoire on the recorder, alongside the Seattle Symphony from their seats.

Students who are involved in arts education do better academically than those who don’t, and participation in the arts promotes creativity, innovation, discipline and teamwork. The Seattle Symphony makes it possible for these 10,000 students from over 100 schools to have the experience of a lifetime.

With increased funding from Cultural Access Washington, we could expand the reach of Link Up: Seattle Symphony to more schools, serving more students. One of our major goals is to put a recorder into the hands of each Link Up student, allowing them to create music on an instrument they can call their own.

Join the Seattle Symphony and Cultural Access Washington in asking our Washington State representatives and senators to support this important legislation. We’re tagging all orchestras and cultural institutions in Washington State!
