Lee Mills

Conductor

Lee Mills is internationally recognized as a passionate, multifaceted and energetic conductor. He has led performances with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra that have been hailed as having a “sonority of unequalled liveliness and quality,” working alongside such artists as Simone Porter, Conrad Tao, Eliane Coelho and the Smetana Trio. His conducting engagements outside of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra include the National Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Gerry Marsh

Conductor

Gerry Jon Marsh has been the Music Director and Conductor of the Cascade Youth Symphony since 1984. Professor Marsh is also the Wind Ensemble Director Emeritus at Seattle Pacific University.

Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra

The Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestras form an organization (the CYSO) that provides a wholesome and stimulating environment for talented and gifted young musicians. An emphasis is placed on creating an atmosphere that encourages, challenges and develops their fullest potential in the art of performance. Participants benefit from a yearlong program designed to nurture their enjoyment of music as well as develop their musical skills and self-confidence. This program consists of a balance of rehearsals, sectional coaching sessions, retreats, and concerts.
