Vice President of Artistic Planning
The Vice President of Artistic Planning is a senior member of the Seattle Symphony’s management team and reports to the President & CEO. The Vice President is responsible for leading and executing the Seattle Symphony’s multi-year artistic strategies in collaboration and consultation with Music Director and President & CEO. In addition to overseeing all programming for the Seattle Symphony including pops and popular culture concerts, the Vice President also oversees the programming for Benaroya Hall (which includes S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium, Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall and Octave 9: Raisbeck Music Center) including presenting touring ensembles and artists. Executive Assistant to President & CEO/Office & Board Relations Manager
The Executive Assistant reports directly to the President & CEO, provides executive support and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the office of the President & CEO. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the senior management team; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; serves as liaison and administrator for the Board of Directors and select Board Committees; and oversees special projects.
Resident Technical Staff – Stage Crew
As a member of Seattle Symphony’s Resident Technical Staff, the successful candidate will provide audio/visual support to a variety of stage productions ranging from, but not limited to: concerts, recordings, auditions, business meetings, lectures and weddings. This position is weighted towards audio proficiency. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Seattle Symphony and Local 15 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and is on-call work with no guaranteed minimum number of hours.
Communications Fellow (Washington State Work Study)
The Communications Fellow will work closely with the Director of Content to gain an understanding of communications strategy and implementation at a major symphony orchestra. This task-oriented part-time fellowship is 15–19 hours per week.
Graphic Design Intern (Unpaid)
This Graphic Design Intern position is an unpaid internship. The intern will work with the graphic design department to gain real-world experience at a major symphony orchestra. This task-oriented, part-time, unpaid internship is 16-20 hours per week with flexibility for class schedules. Schedule must allow for minimum two 8-hour days a week.
Sales and Fundraising Representatives
The outbound representative is responsible for generating new season ticket holders and donors to the Orchestra by contacting recent, qualified prospects and renewing donors and patrons, and urging them to commit to season tickets or donations, helping, to further advance audience development efforts for the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.
